Big changes coming to TFT Reckoning with Dawn of Heroes update – LoL News

Teamfight Tactics’ latest set, Reckoning, is in for a big change with League of Legends patch 11.15.

Riot Games has revealed TFT Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes. Dawn of Heroes is a mid-set update that will significantly overhaul some of the main mechanics of TFT Reckoning while also introducing some new features of its own.

TFT Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes replaces Shadow items with Radiant

The biggest change in TFT Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes is the removal of Shadow items, which could be built into items that had unique buff-debuff effects. Replacing Shadow items are Radiant items. Instead of having buff-debuffs, Radiant items will build into super-charged versions of the normal item.

Examples that were given are the Radiant Rabadon’s Deathcap which provides +100 Ability Power instead of +50 and Radiant Quicksilver that offers 30 seconds of crowd control immunity, and +30 attack speed instead of just 12 seconds of immunity.

The drawback is that, unlike Shadow items that players could build an entire arsenal of, players will only receive one Radiant item per game. This will have interesting strategic implications and may force players into specific compositions based on which Radiant item they can build.

Alongside the introduction of Radiant items are Divine Blessings. Divine Blessings are more powerful loot orbs that appear once a player drops below 40 health. They include a wide variety of potential rewards such as item components, champions, spatulas, gold, consumables, and the newly added Tome of Emblems.

The Tome of Emblems takes up one bench space, but gives players access to purchase emblems. Combined with the armory offering up emblems, players could have more freedom than ever when it comes to building up high-level synergies.

With the removal of Shadow items, some holes have been left in terms of itemization and how synergies function. The only detail that was given on this is that emblems that required a Shadow item will be made available through other means, with Riot specifically noting that the armory is the go-to source. Riot will reveal how the removal of Shadow items will impact regular armory rolls and the Forgotten class at a later date.

When is TFT Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes coming out?

TFT Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes is set to launch alongside patch 11.15, which is slated to come out on July 21. Expect more details on the update to come in the very near future.
